Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”
The Bible tells us that when Jesus had completed His work, when He had accomplished all that God sent Him to do, He ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of God the Father. When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior we become alive in Him and are seated with Him in the heavenly realm also. Like Christ, our work is now complete. We aren’t saved BY works but FOR works which God prepared in advance for us to do. Our trusting in Jesus was all the effort that was required for salvation. That’s why we are as good as in heaven already! We are essentially already seated there with Christ because God sees things that are not yet as though they already are! He looks at us through the eyes of Jesus and position-ally sees us sitting beside Him. May we live our lives worthy of the position we share with Christ.
Our responsibility now is to seek to share the “Good News” so that others may one day be seated with us . . . .

Dear Lord,
We worship Your majesty and authority. Your plans are perfect and Your ways are supreme. Thank you that by accepting Your gift of salvation, we are now seated with You in the heavenlys. This position is incomprehensible to most of us and humbling. We don’t deserve to even be in Your presence yet because of Your grace we’re told in Your word that our place is beside You! Help us not to let this be a source of pride for us but instead cause us to have a more compassionate and grateful heart. Give us the desire and the boldness to open our lives to others and give them a glimpse of who You are and what You’ve done for us. May the words that we share come directly from You.
