No Eye Has Seen

1 Corinthians 2:9 "However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived— the things God has prepared for those who love Him."

If you haven't visited the 19th century Biltmore Estates in Asheville, North Carolina you need to put it on your bucket list for sure. We spent a few hours taking in the luxurious home and the enormous gardens and were in awe of not only the beauty of the estate but everything that went into building it. They used the railroad to bring in to Asheville everything they would need to use to construct this massive home and used the most modern technology at that time to maintain and run the facilities. It was a modern day marvel to the people living near by.

Yes, we stood in awe and wonder as we took in that gorgeous site but even this magnificent man made structure and the glorious gardens can not compare to the things God has prepared for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. 1 Corinthians 2:9 reminds us that no one has ever seen or heard anything quite like and never so much as imagined anything quite like what God has arranged for those who love him. The gospel bestows blessings which by far surpass anything people can comprehend, can know or even experience without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

So, if on earth the gospel showers blessings on those that believe, how much more and purer will be the joys we will experience when we are called to glory. It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it! This should prompt us to step out of our comfort zones and share our faith so that others can have the same experience. Who might need to hear the good news of the gospel from your lips today?

Personalize this prayer.

Dear Lord,

We have trouble expressing our gratitude as we are so limited in our human state but thank you! Thank you for saving us, thanking you for continually seeking to change us and thank you for going to prepare a place for us with You when our mission is complete here on earth. This world is not an easy place to maneuver in but we willingly surrender all of who we are to You for Your purposes. Please embolden us to share our faith with others so they might have an opportunity to be a part of Your Kingdom which has no end. May everything we say and do give others even just a little glimpse of all that You are!

In Your Blessed Name,

Amen
