Prayer Is The Battle

Ephesians 6:18 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."

In the book of Ephesians there is an intercourse about spiritual conflict and the armor that is necessary to take our stand and fight against the evil one’s schemes. In verse 18 we read the summation of that discussion which tells us that after we’ve armed ourselves then we must begin to pray Spirit directed prayers and pray all kinds of prayers. It doesn’t say practice or withdraw but pray. Prayer is the key to resolving conflict, to winning the battle, and to change our thinking. Even the godliest person who has matured and is able to ignore the temptations in this world still struggles with the invitations of God to pray. Allan Jackson said, “Prayer is not a part of the battle – IT IS THE BATTLE!” Prayer is the most powerful tool we’ve been given so let's suit up and pray without ceasing as we're directed to.

_______

Personalize this prayer.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for Your Holy Spirit and the transforming power that He supplies. Please make us into the Prayer Warriors that You intended for us to be not only for ourselves but on behalf of others. Your word tells us that the prayers of a righteous person availeth much so please help us to make our time with You a priority so we can be effective for Your Kingdom purposes. We want to be cooperative and pray the way You desire us to pray. Onward we go as Christian soldiers in the midst of a battle that we already know that we can claim victory over. Praise be to the Lord of Heaven and Earth who goes before us and prepares the way and carrying His banner high.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
